Here’s a list of important guidelines for officials in tennis:

 

1. Be properly certified before working any match.

2. Maintain professionalism and ethics; do not abuse your position of authority and trust.

3. Refrain from harassment towards anyone involved in the event.

4. Avoid initiating contact with players beyond the duties as an Official.

5. Wear the USTA Uniform at all events.

6. Arrive on time for all assignments.

7. Do not request specific assignments during a tournament or event, and do not withdraw from an accepted assignment for another opportunity unless released.

8. Abstain from consuming alcohol or drugs while in uniform and ensure you are not impaired by any substance while performing officiating duties.

9. Do not publicly criticize other officials or comment on their performance.

10. Do not bet or wager on the outcome of any tennis match.

11. Recuse yourself from officiating any match in which your impartiality could reasonably be questioned.

12. Maintain professional distance at all times; do not fraternize with players or parents.
